Newark Airport (EWR) is located in New Jersey, less than 15 kilometers from Manhattan. Liberty Airport is one of three major airports serving the New York metropolitan area - when travelling from abroad you can choose a flight also to John F. Kennedy International Airport, and when arriving in New York from another city in the US you can choose the slightly smaller LaGuardia Airport. In the record-breaking year of 2019, EWR Airport handled more than 46 million passengers.

The undoubted advantage of Newark Airport is its location - it is twice as close to Manhattan as JFK Airport. You'll find bus stops and a train station at each of the three terminals.
