Munich Airport (MUC)

Munich Airport (MUC) is Germany's second busiest airport, as nearly 48 million passengers used it in 2019. Munich Airport is located more than 28 kilometers northeast of the Bavarian capital and has two parallel runways as long as 4 kilometers. The airport is named after Franz Josef Strauß, former minister-president of Bavaria.

Transfer from the airport

Munich Airport is well communicated with the capital of the Bavarian state. The most convenient mean of transportation is train - the trip to the center of Munich takes about 40 minutes, and the frequency is 6 departures per hour. You can reach Munich's central station by buses, while you can get to other cities in Germany and other European countries by coach. Munich Airport is located near the A92 highway, which will make it easy for you to get there by your own car. Upon arrival, you can leave your car in one of the five airport parking lots.

Within Munich Airport's terminals you'll find a range of amenities, to begin with a conference center, several business lounges, as well as a pharmacy and automated passport control. While you're waiting for your flight from Munich, you can also use the observation deck, the entrance to which you'll find on the fifth level of Terminal 2. Next to the P52 parking lot, in turn, is the Munich Airport Visitors Park, with a number of attractions - including a high-rise from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the airport, as well as old, retired aircraft. Inside Munich Airport's terminals, meanwhile, you'll find a range of stores (including duty-free) as well as bars and restaurants.
