Riga Airport (RIX)

The airport in Riga is situated some 6 km from the city centre, which makes four trip fast and comfortable. To get to the city, you can take a bus or a taxi, or visit one of the airport's car rentals. The Riga Airport offers also long-haul coach services which will take you to the neighbouring countries: Lithuania and Estonia. If you arrive in your own car, you can choose from as many as three car parks: a short-term one right at the terminal, and two long-term – one situated some 400 m from the terminal (at the motorway) and the other next to the nearby museum of aviation. 

If you wish to have more information about staying in the city, go to special information desk "Welcome to Riga" on the 1st floor of the terminal. There you will get tourist guidelines regarding Riga, buy a special "Riga Card" which will make it easier for you get about the city, and book a hotel room etc. The airport offers also a wide range of shops in its duty free zone, as well as bureaus de change, restaurants and small business lounges. When in one of the airport's cafés and bars with panoramic windows, you can take a close look at the apron and landing aircraft.
