Types of Visas for Poland
The type of visa depends on the duration of your planned stay.
Schengen visa (C-type)

- A valid passport with at least two blank pages, issued within the last 10 years, and valid for at least three months after your planned departure from the Schengen Area;

National visa (D-type)
It allows a stay in Poland (continuous or multiple consecutive stays) with a total duration exceeding 90 days within the visa’s validity period, but no longer than one year. It also permits travel within the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Documents required to apply for a D-type visa:
- A travel document (passport document);
- A filled-out and signed visa application;
- A photograph;
- A proof of visa payment;
- A medical travel insurance
- Supporting documents (depending on the country where a visa application is submitted)
Holders of a Residence Permit in Another Schengen Country
If you hold a valid visa or residence permit issued by another Schengen country, you can travel to Poland based on that document. In this case, you are allowed to stay in Poland for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
