CO₂ emissions calculator for cargo transport
Fill in the form to check your estimated CO₂ emissions.
Actual data for the selected departure and arrival airports as well as the weight of cargo transported on the selected route taken from the annual CO₂ emissions report and verified by an accredited external auditor are used in order to calculate emissions. The source data in the emissions calculator is updated once a year, in April.
The emission factor [kg of CO₂ / 1 kg of cargo carried] was calculated for the maximum cargo capacity for a specific aircraft type and passenger weight. The ratio recommended by IATA is 1 person = 100 kg. The figures given should be regarded as approximate due to the assumptions made. These may differ from actual figures depending on the actual amount of goods and number of passengers carried on the flight. When new aircraft models or new routes are added to the LOT Polish Airlines route network, estimated emissions calculated using a tool provided by Eurocontrol (SET) or ICAO (CERT) are used.

In particular, the data generated by the calculator are indicative and cannot be used as the basis for determining the real value of CO₂ emissions by entities obliged by law to report CO₂ emissions. In order to determine the actual CO₂ emissions, the entity required to report CO₂ emissions should make its own calculations.
