Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is located in the western part of Germany, 13 kilometers from the city of Frankfurt am Main. In 2019 it was the fourth largest airport in Europe in terms of passengers served (more than 70million). It is worth mentioning that the described airport (FRA/EDDF) is not the only one in the vicinity of Frankfurt - there is also the smaller Frankfurt Hahn Airport at a slightly longer distance from the city. 

Germany's largest airport offers many options for getting to and from the terminals to the city of Frankfurt. You can get from Frankfurt Airport to the city center by bus and train - if you are concerned about time, it's worth considering the latter option, as the train from the airport will take you to Frankfurt in just 12 minutes. The railway station is located under Terminal 1, but you can easily reach it from the second terminal as well. It is worth noting that you can also reach other destinations in Germany directly from the airport by both bus and train.

Frankfurt am Main Airport offers you many engaging attractions. A variety of bars, restaurants and cafes, as well as duty-free stores are only a part of your possibilities. After all, there is also an observation deck in the terminal, from which you can watch the day-to-day operation of one of the largest airports in Europe, which is quite an attraction not only for aviation fans. Undoubtedly, organized tours - for children, families or couples - are also an interesting highlight. Very helpful to passengers, on the other hand, are screens containing information about the walking time needed to reach a given airport gate.
