Accessibility services on board

Ground service assists a passenger with a wheelchair

We are committed to equipping our aircraft with solutions to support passengers with special needs. We offer on-board wheelchairs, accessible facilities, and assistance with receiving messages for passengers with hearing impairments.

On-board wheelchairs

On long-haul flights (with Dreamliner aircraft), we provide onboard wheelchairs to assist with movement around the cabin during the flight. For short- and medium-haul flights, an onboard wheelchair can be provided upon prior request.

If you require an onboard wheelchair on a narrow-body fleet route (short and medium-haul flights), please contact us at least 5 days, but no later than 48 hours before departure to ensure you receive the best support. You can order this service free of charge by:

Our consultant will provide you with detailed information about ordering a wheelchair and will check if your reservation has a special assistance note. You will receive confirmation of the service by email or phone, depending on your preference.

Due to operational limitations, the service may be available only upon request and after confirmation by our consultants.

By using an onboard wheelchair, you will be able to move more easily to or from the toilet. You are free to choose the seat that best meets your requirements, but we suggest choosing a seat closer to the rear toilet to shorten the distance and thus make it easier to use the onboard wheelchair. Our consultant can add such a seat for you free of charge.

Your own wheelchair on board — applies to flights to/from the USA

Passengers traveling to/from the USA can bring their equipment on board, but due to baggage restrictions, only one wheelchair can be accepted on board. During the flight, the wheelchair will be stored in a specially designated compartment for transporting medical equipment.

Accepted wheelchairs

Only a manual wheelchair (manual-power) that can be fully folded and does not exceed the dimensions of 33 x 91 x 107 cm can be transported on board.

If your wheelchair cannot be loaded on board due to its dimensions and type, we will provide free transport in the aircraft's baggage hold.

Onboard Amenities

  • In all our aircraft, some seats are equipped with liftable armrests.
  • Each aircraft is equipped with toilets that have special handrails. Additionally, on long-haul flights, there is the possibility of enlarging the toilet space for greater comfort.
  • Cabin crew can assist with getting to and from the toilet, but they are not authorized to lift and carry you from your seat to your wheelchair or to assist you inside the toilet.
  • If you require assistance with activities such as eating, taking medication, or using the toilet, you must travel with an accompanying person. Please inform us of your companion at the ticket booking stage, so we can assign seats next to each other.

Understanding of verbal messages

Inform us if you have a hearing dysfunction. The crew on board the aircraft will be able to present these voice anouncements to you in a way that allows you to understand all the information.

In addition, a video explaining in-flight safety rules (Safety video), with translations in Polish or international sign language, is available on the screens of long-haul aircraft.
