Tirana Airport Nënë Tereza (TIA)

Tirana International Airport (TIA), sometimes referred to as Rinas Airport, is located about 11 kilometers northwest of Tirana in a picturesque mountain setting. Tirana Rinas Airport handled more than 3.3 million passengers in 2019, making it Albania's largest airport. Tirana Airport was also the country's only international airport until the opening of Kukës Airport in 2021.

Transfer from the airport

The fastest way to get from the airport to Tirana is by cab. The trip to the center takes 20-25 minutes, as long as there is no heavy traffic. Passengers who prefer public transportation can reach Tirana by bus. There are also bus connections to Durres and Fier from Rinas Airport. Several car rental companies also offer their services at Tirana Airport, and you can get almost directly to the terminal via the SH60 highway.
